TITLE: MONSTER INFANTRY REGIMENT

/ Infantry Regiment of Monsters

A YOUNG MAN (DANNER LITTLEKITTEN) FINDS HIMSELF IN A GHOSTLY WORLD, WHERE PORTALS LEAD TO BATTLEZONES.

The base city becomes more interactive through the game.

Danner meets Grupol, a mortion-human-like-monster who resides in the base city.

Grupol: "I see the curse is broken. A man of living flesh has arrives to this morbid city called Heatofkindle. What you must do in order to live here is to destroy the SLEEPER OF SLUMBER. It has awoken, far away, at the slightest tread of your footstep in this place. You must amass an army at once. There is no escape.

Danner: "In high school, I was captain of the wrestling team. I think I'm bravest of the brave. I'm unsure of how I got here."

Grupol: "I do not know of what you speak high school is, but you must fight, there is no choice."

Danner: "Let the adventure begin!"

Grupol slides a few boards together and stands behind a table. "This will be your Weapons cash hut. You may buy sell here. The only weapon I have available is this moldy Quad-Bow (4 Bowed Crossbow). I only have 3 arrows. The Quad-Bow is 800 years old, from the time of the last human visitors and previous rise of the Sleeper of Slumber.

There is approximately 79  installations of horrid evil awaiting. Each installation place is a battlefield.

Grupol: "I will teach you rudimentary monster necromancing called "Monstermancing", to enslave an army of violent service, but you must find items of Wizgic. Wizgic learning will advance your skills and ensure your safety.

LEVEL1- Danner must use the Quad-Bow at "Cottage of Cold Dust", a dark house that contains 2 enemy monsters called Toistovens, and items. 
  • Danner finds 2 arrows, one bludgen weapon called "hammer of glass", 3 Levelem Mapotamicas and one amulet of rust.
LEVELEM MAPOTAMICUS-   Danner needs one of these per battlefield to enter. The player can use a Levelem Mapotamicus as an overview screen.

Amulet of Rust- Danner needs to adorn each monster with an amulet of rust so the he (the player) can control monsters on the battlefield.

GAMEPLAY_  THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF GAMEPLAY.

  • 1st person shooter/walker. Danner can walk and fight throughout levels.
  • Strategic Overview.Regiment monsters are controlled  using the Levelem-Mapotamicus-Screen, similar to *Command and Conquer, Field Commander*
  • Quest Overview. Special Regiment Monster are controlled to fight similar to *Diablo, Torchlight* using a "Goblet of Vision"-Screen.
One house may be a single battlefield.
A house/rooms map may be as the Levelem Mapotamicus screen, as well as outdoor fields. Some battlefields are small. Some are big.
If there are enemy ghosts in the battlefield, Danner may not accomplish any 1st person traveling in the level-battlefield until they are first destroyed via levelem mapotamicus fighting or goblet of vision fighting.

WEAPONS:
  • Range. Bow, rock sling, flamethrower, rifle, grenade launcher
  • Bludgen. Hammer, sword, peterified elephant leg
  • Magic. Enchanted animals (hand held), amulets, devices
  • Vehicles. Wagons, tanks, boats
Danner parks vehicles in Heatofkindle that he finds or has built.

Vehicles:
  • Sloondraker. A wheel wagon that is pulled by a headless/legless floating horse.
  • Bonamere. A black wood steam-engine tank.
  • Haunted Semi-Truck. Invisible driver, carrier APC.
  • Gatling Bone Wagon. Unlimited ammo. The regiment monster driver pulls it, in harness.
  • Stormship. Cannons and APC carrier.
  • Drakegoor. Small attack boat.
  • Hifen. Speedy 2-personnel kayak.
  • Grugostech. Motorcycle with side car.
  • Shadow Jeep. General Jeep with optional mounted weapons Bone-Grenades, Arrow Cannon or Gatling gun.
The vehicle storage/mechanic place is the parking lot in Heatofkindle. The vehicles are driven to the battlefields by a single regiment monster, per vehicle. A waterway leads to the waterzone-battlefields, as the ships are parked in the adjacent harbor in Heatofkindle. 


hIS QUEST: TO VANQUISH THE NOTORIOUS EVIL ARMIES AND GAIN THE MAGIC NEEDED TO RESTORE A BEAUTIFUL FACED PARTIAL SKELETON WOMAN, WHO HAS BEFRIENDED him IN THE DARKEST PLACE TO GIVE HIM LIGHT.

hEATOFKINDLE IS 4 CITY BLOCKS WHERE IT IS ALWAYS NIGHT. THERE, DANNER CAN BUY/SELL ITEMS, STORE ITEMS, BUILD THINGS, INTERACT WITH SIMS AND AMASS HIS ARMY.

FOR EVERY VICTORIOUS BATTLEZONE WORLD, DANNER CAN OBTAIN QUEST ITEMS, INCLUDING MAGICAL ITEMS THAT RESTORE HIS SKELETON FRIEND, PIECE BY PIECE.

THE GAME STARTS WITH HER HAVING A FACE, BUT IT IS STOLEN MID-GAME AND DANNER HAS TO GET IT BACK!

IN ONE SEGMENT, A REGIMENT MONSTER'S AMULET OF RUST FALLS OFF AND THE REGIMENT MONSTER ATTACKS THE CITY BRIEFLY.

Some story line: Monsters often make fun of Danner. Danner has to attempt to reprimand them, to turn them into loyal soldiers in some instances.

 

THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF DEAD-MONSTERS THAT DANNER CAN COLLECT. ONCE THEY ARE COLLECTED, THEY CAN BE PLACED IN RE-ANIMATOR CHAMBERS TO BE NECROMANCED. THEY REQUIRE MEDICINE TO BE ADDED TO THE NECROMANCER MACHINE, FOR EXAMPLE BLOOD, POTION OR MAGIC DIRT.

ONCE THEY  ARE RE-ANIMATED, THEY MAY JOIN DANNER'S ARMY.

Danner and the monsters fight using 1st person shooter format.

The player controls monster movement; ducking, waiting and can switch from Danner 1st person to selected monster 1st person to fight the mutual enemy.

From Danner's 1st person fighter screen, the player can switch to an overview screen to move, place and set monster-minions-soldiers in the battlefield.

INFANTRY MONSTER RULES:

  • MONSTERS CAN ONLY CARRY 1 WEAPON AT A TIME.
  • DANNER NEEDS TO FIND WEAPONS AND BRING THEM BACK TO THE CITY.
  • MONSTER CAN BE ADORNED with armor. Without armor, they can only survive a few shot-blasts before dying.
  • Monsters can not go into battle without a weapon.
  • Some enemy-monsters can be captured in battle and charmed with magic items to serve Danner.

  • If a monster is killed in battle, but not burned or exploded, it can possibley be re-animated back at the city-base.

Danner has to acquire parts to build various necromance machines.

 

Weapons: The early part of the game is primitive weaponry (swords, clubs, bows) and the later part of the game is high-tech weaponry (lazers, machine guns).

Items: If the player finds items, some of them can be adorned on Danner, and some of them can be adorned on various monster-minion-soldiers.

  • Health Ring. + health
  • Armor Ring. + armor
  • Voodoo Necklace of Health- If the player adorns the necklace on a monster-minion-soldier, the monster-minion-soldier becomes a "medic", to repair monsters in the battlefield, as monster-shayman.

Instead of Battlezone victories resulting in only extra-story-sequences, new game information is granted so that the player can expand his own play-experience. Example* The story sequence teaches the player that if he press x,x,x,a,b,c at the river hut while holding the fire-club-weapon, a portal will open.

The End: Danner and his friend embrace as a parade of marching kittens trot about them at their feet. Danner says "I hope you're not making fun of my last name, are you?"
